AJ's love for the outdoors started young. At just 14 years old, he climbed onto a John Deere tractor and started mowing lawns for neighbors. What began as a teenager's summer job quickly became something much deeper — a calling to shape the land, to turn ordinary yards into places people actually wanted to spend time in.
That hands-on work ethic never left. AJ went on to earn a Business Management degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, combining his natural talent for design with the discipline to build a real company. In 2006, he relocated to Omaha and planted roots in the community he now calls home.
AJ's Landscaping has been in business since 1999 — making 2024 the company's 25th anniversary. A quarter century of transforming Omaha backyards, one project at a time.
AJ didn't grow up watching from the sidelines — he grew up in a family that built things. His parents founded Security Paper Shredding, building a business from the ground up with the same grit and determination AJ would carry into landscaping. His grandparents operated Delta Electric Company, running a trade business long before the term "entrepreneur" was trendy.
